I've got 3 young kids (4 and under). This zoo is the perfect size for them and has great activities. Feeding the animals (goats, camels ans giraffes), train ride, playground, merry go round and more. They also have an area with picnic tables so you can bring in your own food near the front. Lots of animals, very friendly staff, clean facilities.

This zoo is worth the time it takes to get there. It has a great laid back vibe and lots of great animals that can be seen very close up, and a sky lift and a cool playground to boot. We go every time we visit Richmond. Definitely feed the giraffes and the budgies.

The zoo is really amazing, fantastic animals. We arrived around 3:15 with 6 people and we're charged full price even though they had fed all of the animals and we're starting to close some of the exhibits. We never saw any penguins at all. They rushed us out at 5 and closed the gift shop a few minutes early. The cost for 3 children and 3 adults was just under $100. Would love to return in warmer weather.

This place was absolutely fantastic. Is it the shiniest, fanciest zoo I've been to? No. But it's a private zoo not receiving all the grants and funding that those impeccable zoos do. I'm actually really blown away at the couple negative reviews on here. All of the animals look incredibly well cared for, and many of them are obvious rescues which makes me even happier. I've never been to a zoo where you're able to get so close to so many animals. Hand feeding the giraffes was the absolute highlight of my day. Honestly, that alone was 100% worth the price of admission plus animal feed. We even went back to the front at one point to buy more pellets and budgie sticks. It's really pretty cheap when you consider just how much you're getting out of it.

Surprisingly fun! We thought it was going to be a little underrated because of the outward appearance. Instead it blew us away with how much interaction there is with the animals and how close they actually are to the paths. Feeding the giraffes was amazing my five-year-old loved it.
